Renee Fernandez

We’re super excited to be working with friend and creative accomplice Renee Fernandez on the next Crummy House zine. We’ve gotten to hang around and draw with Renee a handful of times before, but we’re way excited to be working on some art pieces together. We’re gonna try our best to get this zine out on time. Fingers crossed.

Gotcha

Bet you thought this was the next zine release! We are a little behind on our schedule, but we are back to work today on our release from Martin Svoboda.

For now, enjoy these images from Paul Windle‘s newest zine release, Mid-70’s Baseball Dudes. We’ve been talking with Mr. Windle about a zine in the near future. Hopefully, we play our cards right and get to work with this talented artist before he’s all booked up. No puns intended. Nyuk, nyuk.

Stay tuned, we’ve got a great book to show you in the coming day or so and a new artist to announce for our June collaboration. We’re bringing the party back home, folks, with an artist right here in Austin.

We Are Fucking Awesome / Kumbaya

Well, I don’t know what took so long to put this on blast. The name alone is attention catching, but in the spirit of collaboration-pen pal-magic, We Are Fucking Awesome, or “WAFA” would appear to be the mother ship of visual togetherness. As we start planning new roads towards interaction + creation, this is a wonderful thing to stumble back on and be reminded of how many people there are out in the worldworld wide abyss throwing out their contributions, and coming together to try something different. The Collective consists of 13 regulars, all artists who initiate various collaborative projects, starting in whatever corner of the world they are located in. Give the site a once or thrice over, and find your favorites. Currently jiving on WAFA Zine 03 – Everything At Every Moment Is Awaiting Your Arrival. Embossed front cover + Hand-sewn Japanese stab stitch binding? Yes please.

Winner’s Press

It’s so cool to see the photos from Zinery, a show that Winner’s Press put together not too long ago. We spotted a few Crummy zines in there. Thanks WP! Go over there and check out the photos.

This is what they were doing: “We will be creating a zine installation for 2011 Southern Graphics Council International Conference, at Washington University in St. Louis’s Weitman Gallery. The intent is to fill the space with zines to create an interactive exhibition and zine making event.”

What X Whatever

Come join us as we craft a giant art piece, turned zine, turned mobile-craft collaboration at Domy Books on Wednesday from 12 – 4 PM. Our friends at Dublab will be doing a warm up live broadcast direct from Domy during SXSW and we’re going to help them kick it off.

We’ll have our three most recent zines to give out, so come pick one up!
