A Crummy account of PDX
For the past 5 days, Crummy House has been sampling the finest the Pacific Northwest has to offer.
Above are a few plane sketches of some of our most basic accounts of the Texas-Friendly, moss-laden town of Portland, Oregon. On our third day there, good friend, and illustrator Alex DeSpain and his wife Vanessa took Crummy House on an epic road trip through mountains and fog to the small town of Astoria, of Goonies fame.
After some obligatory scenic stops, we stumbled in to Lunar Boy Gallery. Lunar features a range of contemporary and low brow art from all over, while also boasting extremely fun toys and trinkets for purchase.
The finale of Crummy House in Portland was sealed with the x2 =√♥ show at Grass Hut Corp. during Portland’s First Thursday. What a great time it was!
Time flies
We’ve been in full swing over here, working with Christie on her book and talking to another Crummy artist who we will introduce in the next few weeks. Until then, take care and Happy Holidays.

We rode our bikes around and checked out some art this past weekend for the East Austin Studio Tour.
While we only covered a small amount of ground, we were thoroughly impressed at the artwork we saw. It was very inspirational to see everyone’s spaces and artwork and we might have found some ideas for future books.
Sight Unseen
Monica from Sight Unseen, a blog about creative types, visited with us this past week. She asked us about our hopes and dreams and we went out for some drinks with some other creative dudes, David Clark, Alexandra Valenti, Will Bryant and Katy Horan. Find Good
Very excited about finding a ream of legal sized paper to start with in the garage. We’ll be updating the schedule coming up with some projects you can participate in, too.
