What X Whatever

Come join us as we craft a giant art piece, turned zine, turned mobile-craft collaboration at Domy Books on Wednesday from 12 – 4 PM. Our friends at Dublab will be doing a warm up live broadcast direct from Domy during SXSW and we’re going to help them kick it off.

We’ll have our three most recent zines to give out, so come pick one up!

RSVP here.

Alexandra Valenti

bird-post

As SXSW and the Austin spring blows in as a whirlwind we couldn’t be happier to announce our upcoming collaboration with local artist and stellar photographer Alexandra Valenti, who makes up part of the full service creative agency Big Bang Collective. Can’t wait to see what creative endeavors lie ahead.

I Want You

Got this in the mail the other day. This is totally worth the money and even came with a 7″ record. Super-cool, oversize, full-color magazine. Even has a spot varnish on the front cover. Go get yourself one here. All you have to pay for is shipping and handling on the most current issues.

The Sum of All Parts

We here at The Crummy house are big fans of found object art, and well found objects in general. It is often times the most rudimentary of objects that can come together, or dismantle to become the most intriguing pieces of visual stimuli. Well, that’s what Clem said. I thought it sounded elitist.

Here are some swell shots by photographer Tod McLellan of things exploding apart, only to be masterfully, and scientifically splayed back out for viewing. There’s good video of the process on his site to be had, too.

Now, what needs smashing around the house this weekend?

Crummy Stuff

Clemmy says stay tuned. We’re working on the packaging of our first three zines that will be sent out into the world. If you would like to be included on this announcement about how you can get your Crummy package, sign up for our mailing list. We will be including instructions on what you can do to get yours and support us in our creative journey.

In progress

We hung out with Ryan on Friday last week and cranked out the art for the new book. We’ll be putting the layout together in the coming weeks and posting at the beginning of March. The weather is nice here in Austin, hope you’re doing well and having a great day.

Ryan Rhodes

We are pleased to announce the next Crummy artist, Ryan Rhodes. We’ll be putting together the next book with Ryan in the coming weeks, so stay tuned for this one. In the meantime, go check out some of Ryan’s work here.
